The height at withers of the German Miniature Spitz is 24-30 cm. In contrast to the Toyspitz/Pomeranian it was only bred in the classic colours black, brown, white and orange without crosses with other colours.
The Miniature Spitz was for many years found in Mid-Europe. Nowadays the German Miniature Spitz it is found throughout the whole of Europe.
Nowaday there are also other colours and particolours, in addition to the classic colours.
The classic coloured Miniature Spitz has recieved an increase in popularity with the addition of the bloodlines from the former East Germany.
